Burger 21 To Open First Arizona Location In Scottsdale Next Week – Phoenix Business Journal

Email | LinkedIn | Twitter | Google+ Phoenix hamburger lovers finally will get a taste of Burger 21 , as the “better burger” concept opens its first Arizona restaurant this month. Tampa-based Burger 21, founded by the company behind the Melting Pot fondue chain, will open July 21 in Scottsdale. Not only is it the burger joints first Arizona store, it also marks the first West Coast location for the growing concept. Burger 21 in Scottsdale occupies 3,154 square feet of space at 7001 N. Scottsdale Road (Scottsdale and Indian Bend roads). The new restaurant hired 75 workers. Burger 21 has a unique culture and a diverse menu that appeals to a wide array of consumers, said franchisee Dan Lenhauser . We are confident that the Scottsdale community will love our gourmet burgers without the gourmet price. The concept sells 21 types of burgers, as well as shakes, fries, salads and additional options such as chicken burgers and gluten-free offerings. It competes against other so-called better burger brands such as Smash Burger and Five Guys. Burger 21 announced its ambitions for the Phoenix market last fall when it inked a franchise agreement with Lenhauser.
